a MILLion stories to share 1.7

So there really are a million stories I could share with these photos, but instead I've elected to have a contest. The winner will receive nothing of value other than the title of "Best Face Game Player" (uh, maybe we'll work on that title later). The contestants weren't aware of the contest and haven't given me permission to share the deeply personal information provided below.

Pick your favorite. It's that simple.

Contestant Number 1: Ty

Ty expresses some serious fear in this late night photo. He enjoys serving ice cream, listening to me talk sports, and gluten-filled bratwurst. You can find him in the Chococat section of the Sanrio store.

Contestant Number 2: Mike

Before this photo was taken Mike lost his neck. Luckily, I was there keep his head from falling off. He enjoys okra fishing, babysitting quintuplets while learning Spanish, and teaching me to be "thick-skinned." You can currently find him riding the Brett Favre bandwagon, but check back around week 6.

Contestant Number 3: Heather

Heather offers us a big smile and eyes-closed-tight shot. She enjoys pressing that stupid Taboo buzzer, being taller than me, and Duke basketball. You can find her back in fourth grade teaching herself (by choice) all the Greek gods/goddesses.

MILLwork for food: the Hart's

Yeah, he sees something he likes...

So my cousin is probably the most precious person in the world (and I'm sure he feels quite manly after reading that). We're separated in age by 20 days (I'm older) and spent practically everyday together growing up. We've been through quite a bit (mostly thanks to me) and I love when I get to spend time with him and his wife, Brittany. Saturday night we grabbed dinner at Old Chicago (quite delicious) and then headed to downtown Louisville to snap a few shots. We started on the Indiana side of the Ohio river where, no joke, a washing machine floated by.

Had a blast, guys. Thanks for being great sports!

MILLwork for food: the Conn kids

You met Dave and Deanna a few posts ago. This past weekend I headed back to Louisville to see family and friends and to take pictures. I met the Conn's at Bernheim Forest to shoot the other half of the family. They are quite cute and full of personality.

I don't have a clever/lame title for this one

This weekend John came over and built me a state-of-the-art bed-behind table (Get it? Like bedside table?). John is one of my co-workers whom I call an uncle. Whenever I need something, I know that one of them will be able to help out.

Here's John. The only picture I had permission to take during the building. More like the only picture I snuck in during the building... sorry, John.

She's a beauty isn't she? I LOVE IT! I used to have fabric hanging up, but decided I was sick of it and wanted to get curtains for my windows. I couldn't have that much fabric hanging on my walls and didn't want to give up that great storage space. It's definitely a funny shaped piece, but it serves its purpose well.

John let me drill the holes for the handle. Of course, I required three holes for two screws. Oopsies!

It lifts all the way up, without scraping the wall, and stays put!

I'm running out of book space, so this might become another shelf soon. Any ideas for cool bookends?

I'm quite proud of my talented uncles. They're the best co-workers a gal could ask for.

Thanks, John!
